Where are the sessions held?
With the advent of technology, most candidates have preferred to conduct these sessions from the comfort of their own home, via the telephone. The content of the sessions is identical, whether the sessions are held in person, or over the telephone. However, the telephone method has the added advantage that it saves the candidate, what is often at least 2 hours of travel time- two precious hours that could be put to better use- studying!
Analysis of the pass-rate of tutored candidates reveals no distinction between those candidates who conduct telephone sessions and those candidates who conduct in-person sessions. As such, candidates are strongly encouraged to try their first session over the telephone. However, this is by no means mandatory. If you are sure your would prefer in-person sessions, the sessions are held is in the Midwood area of Brooklyn (zip code 11210) 10 minutes from the 2/5 line.
How much does One-on-one tutoring cost?
The hourly rate is $250 for 1-9 hours, $235 for 10-19 hours and $220 for 20+ hours. See below for more information on discounted tutoring packages.
In order to take advantage of the discounted rates of the tutoring packages, the package must be paid for, in full, by the end of the first session. If at the conclusion of the first session, you decide not to continue our sessions together, you may choose to terminate the package agreement and you may pay for that session only at the usual hourly rate.
At extra charge, tutoring sessions can be held at the location of your choosing.
